Hello Maasi Girls

Our first project since our establishment in supporting vulnerable girls in a rural community that is held back by the traditional culture. 


Grade 4 students at Shanghai Community International School Hongqiao Campus have done great deal for the girls at Rescue Center in a Maasai community in Kenya.   Read the great story and see the impacts they made in studies and in their peers' lives!

Tackling the Issue

The school funded the purchase of 50 lights for a year 5-6  program on Energy poverty. A US$1000 commitment produced the following results for a school village in Sri Lanka .

Making a Difference

The school funded the purchase of 50 lights. for their Year 7 African Studies.

A US$1000 commitment produced the following results for a students of a Rwandan village.

ELLIMINYT PRIMARY SCHOOL -AUSTRALIA

Doing What’s Needed

This small school in rural Victoria Secured the funding for 50 lights from their local energy provider to help promote their brand and the benefits of solar energy. 

The sponsor received and program received television and newspaper coverage and increased brand awareness and also made the year 6 students "famous" in the town. :-)

A US$1000 promotional commitment produced the following results for a students of a Rwandan village.

The school funded the purchase of 100 lights. for their Year year 6 Sustainability studies.

A US$2000 commitment produced the following results.

  • US$19,000 SAVED BY RECIPIENT FAMILIES

BOORT PRIMARY SCHOOL - AUSTRALIA

A community team effort

This small school in regional Victoria Australia  took on the program and it was a shared contribution from the whole community . The school donated a significant portion, local business also gave a few dollars and this was topped up by the local church. The lights are being distributed in Nepal by a teacher to a village that they do work with . Its a super result for all parties.
